A record number of entries for the 5th event!

Rally France–Alsace (2-5 October), the 11th round of the 2014 World Rally Championship, has attracted 97 entries. This figure is a record for what will be the fifth anniversary of the organisation of the event in Alsace since 2010.

“The list of entries for the 2014 Rally France-Alsace 2014, one of the three tarmac rounds of the FIA World Rally Championship, has attracted 97 crews,” smiles a delighted David Serieys, Assistant Race Director Rally France-Alsace. ”The Alsatian region will be highlighted with 58 Alsatian representatives*. It’s a major satisfaction for the French Motor Sports Federation and the results of the efforts invested by the organisation team over the past few years. “The preferential entry fees reserved for amateur entrants and the quality of the organisation have played an important role in this success,” says Serieys.   The list of entries in figures 22 different countries 54 French crews 2 French drivers with a foreign co-driver 4 French co-drivers with a foreign driver 8 Alsatian drivers* with co-drivers from other Region 2 Alsatian co-drivers* with drivers from other Region 24 Alsatian crews* 16 crews in WRCs 9 WRC2s including 2 in Group N, 5 in  R5 and 1 in S2000 12 WRC3s, including 11 in the Junior WRC 2 cars homologated in RGT driven by well-known names: Romain Dumas and François Delecour (Porsche 997)   A reminder 2013: 88 entries 2012: 75 entries 2011: 66 entries 2010: 68 entries   The Rallye Jeunes FFSA team takes to the tarmac! The Junior World Rally Championship is strongly represented in the 2014 Rally France-Alsace with no fewer than 11 entries including two crews who will race in the colours of the Rallye Jeunes FFSA Team. To mark the 20th anniversary of the talent-spotting operation for young rally drivers, Éric Camilli from the 2013 class will back up Yohan Rossel (2014 class) in the pack of Citroën DS3 R3s. In addition, two other Rallye Jeunes FFSA winners will also take part in the French round of the World Rally Championship as Laurent Laskowski (2013 class) and Romain Di-Fante (2014 class) will follow each other at the wheel of two Citroëns, "0"and "00," and open the road.   * Drivers and co-drivers holding licences issued by the Lorraine-Alsace Regional Motor Sport Committee.
